Tips For Storing Your Collectible Car

Making sure your collectible car is stored safely is important! Lexington Mini-Storage has some tips for storing your collectibles and keeping them out of harm's way.

Secure the air cleaner by wrapping it in a plastic bag.

Use fuel stabilizer to combat the ethanol-based fuels (which draw moisture from the air).

Clean cable ends and battery terminals. A simple mixture of baking soda and water will do!

Change your engine oil before long-term storage.

Change the coolant (if necessary).

Don't use the emergency brake during storage. Instead, use wheel chocks.

Put the car up on jacks. This will prevent the tires from forming flat spots.

Put a tarp down on the floor. Concrete will absorb moisture, and the tarp prevents this moisture from dispersing.
